Treloar and Caslick Headline NSW Senior Long Track Championship

Multiple Australian Champions Darrin Treloar and his passenger Justin Plaisted along with another multiple Australian Champion in Paul Caslick will head the line up of nominated riders for this Saturday’s (November 7) NSW Senior Long Track Championship that is to be fought out at the Blayney Showground (Central Tablelands of NSW).

The Treloar and Plaisted combination are striving to add yet another trophy to their collection and will no doubt be favourites will they line up in the Sidecars. Treloar and Plaisted has been a formidable outfit in recent years and have picked up their fair share of success along the way.
One of the most passionate competitors is veteran Paul Caslick and he will line up in a total of four classes. Caslick has enjoyed a stellar this year which has included Australian and NSW Championships wins in both Long Track and Dirt Track competition and he has his eyes fixed on further success.
Apart from the Treloar / Plaisted combo and Caslick, this Saturday’s NSW Senior Long Track Championship is going to showcase many talented riders of the future. It has been the likes of Treloar and Caslick that have set the benchmark for the new generation coming through the ranks.
Long Track is regarded as one of the most spectacular forms of motorcycle competition and many of the senior riders in the higher powered classes reach speeds of up 150km/h. It is certainly a sensational sight.
NSW Championship classes are going to be 125cc, 250cc 2-stroke, 250cc 4-stroke, Up to 450cc 4-stroke, Over 450cc 4-stroke and 500cc 2-stroke, 500cc, 1100cc Long Track Sidecar and 1100cc Dirt Track Sidecar. Support classes consist of Women’s, Twin Cylinder Challenge, 500cc Classic Slider and Evolution Slider Machines, 65cc Junior 9 to Under 13 Years, 85cc 2-stroke and 150cc 4-stroke Junior 11 to Under 13 Years, 85cc 2-stroke and 150cc 4-stroke Junior 13 to Under 16 Years, 125cc 2-stroke Junior 13 to Under 16 Years and 250cc 4-stroke Junior 13 to Under 16 Years.
Riders will compete in three qualifying heat races, repechage and a final.
In total there is going to be close to $7,000 up for grabs for this year’s NSW Senior Long Track Championship event.
The NSW Senior Long Track Championship is scheduled to begin at 9am and go right through to 6pm.
Admission charges are: Adults $20, Concessions $10, Family $40 (which includes 2 adults and 2 children) and children over 8 years old are $5.
The Blayney Showground is located at Lawson Street in Blayney.
