Mullumbimby’s Wayne Reynolds AKA “ “The Mullum Express” dominated the third and final round of the Channel Ten Mr Modified Series at Bartercard Lismore Speedway on Wednesday night.

 

Reynolds in the Brunswick Valley Coaches entry started on three in the fifty-lap final but soon took the lead and was never seriously challenged for the remaining laps.

 

Reynolds who has been dogged by bad luck for the last two seasons was always regarded as “a good driver out of luck”.

 

Aussie Champ Stuart Herne in the Farmer Charlie’s entry was running in second place chasing Reynolds when he lost a drive belt and was forced to the infield and out of the race.

 

Sportsman driver Steve Wright in the Crimsafe entry pulled off the upset of the series to finish second with rookie Rian Collier in third.

 

The win gave Reynolds the overall victory in the Mr Modified series with Stuart Herne second and Steve Wright third overall.

 

Paul Reeves took the win in the Junior Feature race with Jay Glass second and Alan Jarvis third. Matt Bidner claimed first in the Streeters feature race with Mark Philp second and Leanne Rose third.

 

Tony Blanch drove well to finish first in the Stockers Feature with Max Jarvis second and Quinten Clarke third.

 

“The Silver Fox” Steve Cox added yet another trophy to his ever expanding trophy cabinet with a win in the Four Cylinder Feature race with Scott Owen second and Cody Armstrong third.

 

Queenslands Russell Knight won the AMCA Feature race from Paul Smith second and Shane Newstead third.
