Local Driver Contest Titles

Three local drivers from Surfair Speedway traveled away to compete in the ACT/NSW tittles. Jason Stewart & Frank Strauhn travelled to Sapphire Speedway at Tangawangalo to compete in the RAMS ACT/NSW tittles over two exciting days at easter. 

Jason competed in the series production class, in a heat on Saturday he had engine problems that caused him to spin out and another car smashed into him. After alot of hard work the car fixed ready for the second day of racing. Regretably Jason experienced mechanical problems again on the sunday to put him out of the finals. Jason would like to thank his sponsors Southern Performance, Eurobodalla Fencing and Sapphire Office Supplies. Sapphire Speedway ready for round 2

Sapphire Speedway is gearing up for round two on the 3rd of December with more speedway sedans, bikes and burnouts! A good day is expected for all with drivers setting their cars up for the track the weekend before on the club practice day.
 
Sapphire Speedway is a RAMS affiliated club and has obtained insurance through NDRA and with lower insurance the savings have been passed onto the drivers. A senior driver now has an entry fee of $10.00 and junior drivers $5.00 and with the low gate fee of $15.00 for adults and children under 14 free, Sapphire Speedway is now more affordable than ever for spectators and competitors  :: Read More...

SURFAIR SPEEDWAY PRESENTATION NIGHT.


A  good crowd turned up for the annual presentation night to see just who had been the top points winner in each division of speedway racing at Surfair over the last twelve months and being up in the front runners at every race is the way to win one of these awards.

Also the club person of the year is announced on this great night, this award goes to a person not on the committee but who has been tireless in their efforts to help the club become one of the best in the state.    :: Read More...
